| | 22 Apr 2010 09:45 PM | | Convoy/cargo tubs are going to about the the size of a liberty ship. I am taking a little leeway with scale for ease of molding and because these don't have to move through the water. I figure you can model them to look like just about anything though since most freighter hulls look about the same anyway with just the uppers that really look different. I think the important thing is that they look like a ship from shore. If anyone has a problem with that please say so now. If anyone HAS to have a perfect scale model SS Ihopeitmakesit then feel free to build your own. These are purely to get the idea started and I would welcome others to build more varied designs. | | | |

| | 22 Apr 2010 11:49 PM | | um... pardon me for asking, but what exactly is a "cargo tub"? Is this a transport (for doing cargo runs in battle) with a very simple hull shape? Is it a test target, for use outside of battle? Is it a towed target?
I know I'm not in the WCC, but I'm wondering if this idea can be used by other groups as well? | | | There are 101 different types of people: those who understand binary, those who don't, and those who just can't count...

Very simplified hull shape, primary purpose is anchored targets for scenario play we're interested in trying out. | | Running: SMS Derfflinger,

What I will be producing is a very crude fiberglass tub for this purpose. For those wondering what a cargo tub is used for, see my post under scenarios.

| | 23 Apr 2010 12:06 PM | | we may also have to worry about crew casualties.
on a serious note,
should we think about coming up with some rules for the cargo tubs? | | | Kapitän zur See Ernst Lindemann

When it sinks does that mean the battle is over and the other team won. Or are they worth points and we tally all the points up and the end of the battle? | | | Kapitän zur See Ernst Lindemann

With a lot of ships fight so close to the tubs they are bound to get rammed. I think there should be. | | | Kapitän zur See Ernst Lindemann
