Didn't RiverRaider mention a 1/24 manned combat Iowa (BB-4) not too long ago? Could this be for that project?  At 1/24 it would be 25 feet long.

That looks like the Arizona, not the Iowa. I've seen a few pictures of the construction of this model, but this is the most complete I've seen. I'd be interested in finding out more about it.

I should have been more clear. This is clearly not an Iowa. Nevada or Pennsylvania class to be sure.

What ever it is it looks like it may be used to drive around teh pond. Like that guy with the 30ft Graf Spee. There's plenty of videos on Youtube showing these guys on a lake driving around.

There is a group on Yahoo: MannedModels that shows alot of these kind of ships and there have been recent articles in the model boating mags about them too.
