I have the dumas coupling attached to the new motor shaft. I had to run the motor and file the shaft down a little smaller to get it to fit.

Next up. Sand the decks and begin painting the hull main deck.

I ended up with a 970 and a 1/4 shaft running a 5 blade brass prop. I have to see how it is speedwise still.

Back from Vacation. Wish I coudl say it was productive and restful but alas it was not. I managed to get the hull repainted yesterday and main weatherdeck repainted. Using a Sharpie Marker I scribed deck planks on the stern hatch then I sprayed over it with Clear coat. It sealed it in and I got plank decks. Not perfect mine you I was doing it quickly and experimenting with the idea but it turned out ok and I am going to proceed with the rest of the main deck Once completed I can paint the hull stripes and red banners on the bow and stern of the main deck.

More progress made on Bismarck's hull. Stripes are now on the hull again, false bow and stern waves painted on. I scribed more planks on teh forward hatch.
Progress is good so far.

Bismarck paint works nearly completed. Touch ups at this point. Think I will repaint the superstructure too. The white circles on the bow and stern are dry, the red bans completed. Just need to add the WL tape. Nearly done with this phase of the refit. I hope to get it back to the main Shipyard where the internals will be installed. I was able to resin in the new battery supports today.

Ok looks like I will have a few days off coming up. I need to finish installing the internals for Bismarck and get him finished. Then I can work on VDT and get that finished. I got a lot of ships to build. Going to be tough finding the free time but I got to try.

You got that right. Then it recycles itself all over again with the next project.

I figured it was time to get back to the boats also. I am currently patching and repainting four of my boats with the Alabama going back to the camo scheme I had two years ago. Then I plan to "clean the bench" and mess it up with making the Arizona direct drive. Also we plan on a group meeting this month sometime...

Not bad plans for January!

And yes the Bis is ready for more action!!!!
