Thanks Nikki. Yes the Mo has a gear box.

Been a while but the Mo isn't completed yet. Still cannons to install and searchlights and of course .. details. Speaking of along with my Bismarck order my 40mm Gun Tubs arrived and my 20mm gun platforms arrived also. I am looking forward to installing them on board to beef up the look of the armament.

i love how i think its not detailed. Curt that thing is amazing what more are u going to put on it to add detail it looks like its all there and it does looked beefed up.

Oh god there is so much more I haven't added yet. A lot more 20mms AAs that go on the platforms in the uppersuperstructure, mini platforms that have the smaller searchlights, grill work on the funnels, ladders and piping, signal lamps, more AAs on the deck in front of the main turret, AC vents on the superstructure, the upper bow AA platform, the smaller AA enclosures at the bow in front of the main 40 mm gun tubs, the anchors and chains, the captsains, the bow breakwater, the addtinal radar directors, thosesmall concave things on top of the gun directors, more ralings ... ... .still a lot more. Nowhere near where I usually am .

haha if the ship were talking about is posted on the previos page then i can only imagine what it will look like when its finished

I mounted the barrels to the AA gun mounts for the MO. There were quite a lot of them . The others I will make by hand and attached them to those sections that are not gun tubs but semi enclosures and others are just freestanding.

I attached some of the 20 mm and 40mm AA guns to the MO. They look good but I have more to attach yet. I have the round PVC tubs attached to the deck and superstructure already from the kit and I thought that they would be large enough to drop the molded gun tubs inside of them but I found out they are too big. So I will route out the inside diameter of the PVC tubs enough so that I can just drop the molded tubs inside of them for a good fit. The spare AA's I am going to chop and modify to accomodate those in the upper levels of the superstructure. The walls surrounding the AA's I will paint to match the camo of the section thier positioned in.

I routed out the inside Diameters of the pvc gun tubs and dropped inside of them the 40mm gun tubs. I didn't order enough tubs .They sitting pretty good and tight and are well protected. I need to paint the bulwarks to match the camoflauge.

so will there be new pictures of the detail you are putting on? if so im looking forward to seeing it.

Soon once I get the remainder of the AA suite on board and painted up.

I am debating whether to order the remainder or build them myself. I don't want to wait a long time get them.
I knocked off some details by accident so they got to be repaired.

How hard is it to build them yourself? If it is not too difficult I would build your own.

I had to come home early tonight so I brought some gear to make the AAs myself and finish off the AA suite for Missouri, make some repairs and stuff. The AAs are not hard to build.

I am going to have to work on Mo at the ship yard. I damaged the masts again with my arms. There's no room for me to work in the office. I made repairs and will tackle Mo's AA guns once I get Bismarck out of the ship yard. I also have Yamato to repair as well.

I am hoping that by May I can get Bismarck, Missouri , Yamato and Roma at the pond together. That should get some interest seeing these 4 ships together on the table or on the water.

Beginning May I tackle North Carolina and the Prinze Eugen(VU)

Ok with Bismarck delayed for launching I switched to plan B. Launched Missouri today for the first model boat sail this year. The weather was good but we did encounter a strange weather phenom. Mo was just heading out from the dock when a sudden Twister water spout formed directly above us. The water rapidly churned and swirled for about 3 seconds with the wind picking up instantly. Mo was just inside of it and I saw what looked like a water rooster tail speeding around in a circle then quickly die off and then the water was calm again. It fizzled out as quick as it began for about 4 -5 seconds but lost strength rapidly.

Anyway I relaunched the MO sporting the new Gun tubs (40 mm Quads) and the new 20 mm guns on deck today. I forgot my 16oz co2 bottle and reg so the model was riding higher and lighter on the water than usualy. I did try out the new drag discs and other than the air sucking down around the drag props the model ran at 24 second speed and ran for the afternoon with no issues. The only issue was me trying t remember which TX I used and how to hook up the batteries. Once I got around that it was very smooth sailing and after a long winter lay up on the shelf I am happy to say the Mo is running smoothly.

All I can say is : PHENOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Fantastic color scheme.

i love the pictures and bb26 is right about the color scheme might have to look into that for a future boat. cant wait to see more of your creations, oh and did you make the radar and cranes or order it?
