Hey Guys,

Server is acting up again, can't post it in the normal place.

Instead, i've uploaded it to the file manager, you should be able to find it here:
http://www.rcnavalcombat.com/rcnavalcombat/FileManager/default.aspx?id=9

if that link doesn't work just go to file manager > newsletter (maybe its scuttlebutt?)

Its poor quality because i tried to make it smaller so the server would accept it, and i hope i uploaded the finished one, haha... its been a hectic week, if somethings not right let me know and i'll take a gander.

thanks for noticing that justin, when i was up there it kept showing it up top as not released.

Buddy, i still can't figure out what is wrong with it for you, but no need to fear, i'll print off a copy and have it at the build session for everyone!

Tug, i could have heaped it on more... haha. In all seriousness you deserve it, you are going to save me alot of money, haha.

I'm sure there is somewhere, talk to Carl - he said they are converting all their old footage to digital format. I just got the picture from the photo gallery here...

Three comments:
1) Interesting contest. I accept! I just need to dust off my editing software and warm up my CPU, and we'll see what sort of video I can come up with. Just out of curiosity, do we have to come up with something new, or could I submit something I already made? (I fully intend to create something new, but just in case I run out of time...)

2) Well, Donanton, IS there video of the LST in action? You'll just have to wait for my entry in the video contest to find out ;)

3) Kenny, the cover photo is mis-labeled. That's a Seydlitz class carrier, not a Graf Zeppelin. The Graf Zeppelin has several casemate 5.9" guns in the bow and stern and several more 4.1" twin AA, which this model is lacking. It's also parked with its stern on shore.
There are 101 different types of people: those who understand binary, those who don't, and those who just can't count...

Hmmmmm, it wouldn't let me post before!

Carl,

a Seydlitz? I was 99.9% sure that the Germans only ever built on carrier....

They were planning to convert the Seydlitz, though. It is on page 227 of Conways, which makes it a legal ship in the WWCC. Seydlitz was 90% complete when Hitler ordered it converted to a carrier on August 26, 1942. It was never finished and was scuttled on April 10, 1945. This particular model is not armed, and has only been used for maneuvering events. There also is an armed Graf Zeppelin in the club that usually shows up for the annual campaign game.

What about this Youtube Video contest? The deadline is March 1st, and I don't know what the judges are looking for, how long it should be, or if I can use an old video (I'm running a bit short on time right now).

Yes, you can use an old one.

Judges are looking for a range of things, although there are no requirements. Obviously general aesthetics are important, but you have to remember people will no experience in mwc will be judging (pretty much everyone knows everyone in this hobby so i want to make sure its not biased).

I have not had any submissions yet, so i will extend the deadline to March 19th.
