The frogs have... croaked themselves? I mean, cloaked? ;)

Guys, it's not easy to grasp the size of those ships in a picture. That Strasbourg is huge! The two destroyers are are longer than 1/144th scale Lutzows. :)

Mikey and Phil do good work.

If one were to compare these ships to something in the 144th scale...
Strasbourg is 88 inches long, so she is larger than the super-liners like Bremen, and Britanic.
The destroyers are both around 56 inches long, so about the size of a Hipper.
Both of these DDs are larger than most. Call them super-destroyers, flotilla-leaders, etc.
I think the average DD would probably be around 46-52 inches or so.

Yeah, they are! I'm thinking I'll want to drive all 4 of my props (even at a lower rpm to make speed) so I can get enough torque transmitted to deal with the high winds we seem to get down here. The big transports can get blown over sometimes. Admittedly my BB won't have the big billboard sides of the majestic liners.

The MightyMikey fleet is looking good. Between Mikey and Mike and Phil, I think the Japs, Krauts, and Yanks are going to have to ally to fight the French Empire!

Those ships look good, Mikey and Phil! It's going to be scary seeing Mogador and Tashkent escorting that big bad Strasbourg around!

What's really scary is that the Mogador has almost a 3 pound advantage over my Shimakaze, even though they're both "super" destroyers. That means more guns/torps for Mikey...[V]

I'm with you, Tugboat! You, Mark, and I will have to form up together to overcome the "French Connection". [:D]

I wonder how a Porter class destoyer would do in battlestations. 8 5 inchers plus torps might be kinda tasty, especially on 37 knots.

I think it would be a good choice. You fast guys can provide escorts for my slow boat :)

I wouldn't worry about the French, they're French after all:) Besides, a Tirpitz, 1-2 Shimikazes' (which only have 2 less cannon but 5 more torps than the Mogador), the 400s' and the Yamatos' (we'll need to find extra captains to run the extra ships. They would also get the Iowa and the Mass. but I don't think it will help them enough to overcome the might of the Axis navy:)
P.S. Carl e-mail me and we'll deal with those hulls.

I would have to agree. One of the main reasons for Battlestations is to make the smaller boats useable.

Not that I have plans for a French boat but be careful lest they start singing Le Marsielles!
