All
All of the fast-gun (small-gun) groups are invited to attend our Denmark Straits three day event in Xenia, Ohio
on Memorial Day weekend, and battle in between our sorties.
The dates are May 29-31 2010.
Please let us know if you plan to attend.
Thanks.

All
We have not gotten any commitment from the fast-gun groups for
attending the Memorial Day weekend multi-format event in Xenia,
Ohio, to battle in between our sorties.
So at this time, we are offering up an invite to all of the
big-gun groups to attend.
We have some new folks that are interested in seeing a big-gun
battle, and have more interests in building ships to the big-gun
rules.
If you are interested in attending, please contact me at
MDeskin@aol.com
Thanks.

Title: Combat boat display at Waco museum in Troy, Ohio

Date: July 9-11, 2010 Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Time: All Day
Location: WACO air museum
Street: 1865 S. County Rd 25A
City State Zip: Troy, Ohio 45373
Phone: (937)-620-6053
Notes: Waco air museum has invited us out to dsiplay the boats at their military experience event.
We are hoping to set up a bunch of tables, and display lots of combat boats.
They also have a small pond on-site, and we are thinking about trying to have a couple of un-armed boats with pumps, and some battle damage so that the spectators (especially the kids)can run around the pond until the boats sink. We are still working on this idea.
This is a rather large military re-enactment event here in Ohio, with lots of military vehicles, and re-enactors in attendance.
We are planning to treat this just like a battle in our area, where the locals will try to put-up any of the out-of-towners that can attend, in order to keep the costs down.
In the evenings we might do some building, or have some war-game tournaments, or something fun like that.
If you know of any re-enactors, feel free to invite them out as well.

All
Starting in August, pretty much all of the combat events that I will be hosting in Ohio will be multi-format with both Treaty, and the MBG taking part.
The two formats will take turns battling sorties.
So all Big-gunners will be invited as well.
There has been some interest in big-gun in the past here in our area.
Now we are seeing some building.
Now we just need to get some battles scheduled.

We will be puttting on a big display (and possible mock battle) at the Dayton Days R/C event this coming Sunday
June 27 at the Wegerzen gardens metro-park here in Dayton.
The event runs from noon till 4pm.
We generally show up around 10-11 am, and there will be folks hanging around till perhaps 5-6pm.
