All,
We have secured the pond for the week of August 7-10. Here is the address so you can check Mapquest for directions:

1880 Turner road
Xenia, Ohio
45385

As for the hotels we have several options. First is at a rate of $42
(plus tax) per night:

Knights Inn - Xenia
38 S. Allison Avenue
Xenia, Ohio 45385
(937)352-0067

Second at a rate of $49.95 (plus tax) per night:

Regency Inn
600 Little Main Street.
Xenia, Ohio 45385
(937)372-9954

Which ever hotel you chose, tell them you're with the boat group. If
you chose the Regency Inn, tell them you want a ground floor, it's a
small hotel. The rooms have a refrigerator and a microwave. It also
has a continental breakfast, I'm not sure with the Knights Inn (they
have the equipement but no mention when I was there). The rooms at
the Knights Inn did not have a fridge or a microwave and they were a
little light on the wall outlets to plug in your chargers. Both
hotels are about 7.5 miles to the pond (per Google maps). These 2 are
about the closest to the lake that are not $90 per night or a longer
drive. If you have any questions, email me or Mikey. Don't wait too long to make the reservation.
Thanks,
Eric

All
At this time it looks like we will have between 8-12 captains at the Nats event on August 7-10 (Thursday-Sunday). Xenia, Ohio

I will start posting a list of who will be here and with what ship(s), in a couple days.
A couple of the captains have asked if they would be allowed to set up tents/campers at the battle site. I plan to meet with the site owner no later than this coming weekend, and will have an answer to that question.
I have also asked Eric if he can put up some of the captains with tents and such. I believe his house is approx. 25 miles from the battle site. We will post more on that also.

My house is approx. 40 miles from the battle site in Xenia.
At this time, I am offering to put up captains that want to either set up a tent, or stay in the house. I have un-limited room, as the family will be out of town during that time.
I am about 20 miles from the Dayton International airport, and can arrange transportation for anyone that might be interested in flying in.

Has one of the hotels been chosen as the one we are going to use? All the other events I have been to had all the captains at one hotel...

I would recomend the Regency Inn. Rooms are in good shape, plenty of wall outlets and other creature comforts. Ask for the 1st floor. It's a small motel. Restraunts are also very close.

I will have my 20lb co2 tank, and it looks like we will have at least one extra 20lb tank on hand. So we should have plenty of CO2.

I will approach the local captains about what we plan to do about food, and drinks at the battle site.
I will post something on this later.

There will NOT be an entry fee at our Nats event.
There will also NOT be a fee for CO2.

The local captains will have coolers and be providing cold drinks, and snacks, and the CO2.
There is a chance that we can arrange a food run into town for lunch, but for the time being we will suggest that everyone bring there own lunch stuff.

We appreciate those that are traveling up to our neck-of-the-woods, for our very first Treaty Nats event.

Don't forget to bring extra batteries. At almost all of the events in the past, we have had someone that only had enough batteries for two fleet battles.
So we are planning to try for three fleet battles per day. We were able to do a fourth fleet battle at one of our events last year, so there is a chance we might on occasion get four in, but let's try to do three for sure.

How much do Bat and Larry need to get on the water? Maybe we can help them get finished up at the hotel.

It is possible, but my understanding is that Bat has been working out on the road, and says he will be happy to just attend an event, and Larry is enjoying his build, and doesn't want to rush it.
They may both be willing to run a loaner at this event. That way, they can finish building their own boats later.

HMS Courageous has completed her dockside trials and has been placed back in commission. She is taking on fuel and preparing to depart the Laurel Harbor and procede north to Red Lion, PA for her shakedown and trials. Upon successful completion of trials, she will be assigned to First Battlecruiser Squadron with her step sister, HMS Renown in preparation for imminent hostilities.

God save the Queen.
