Hi Im Nick, AKA nick_75au on most model boat forums.

Brisbane Battle Group came to our club the Logan City Marine Modellers and have inspired enough interest to build a boat, Ive started a CHANT in 1/144 which is all of 12 inches long, but would like to build HMS Terror or HMS Erebus

Welcome to the hobby, and the site.
We had a guy run an Abercrombie, or something like that a few times in the MBG years ago.
It was a very cool little ship. Extrememly hard to hit.
Welcome aboard.

Greetings Nick!

Great to hear about your Chant. I just got my new John Oxley hull from a member of the Australian Big Gun club in trade and it it pretty small too. When you build your boat, post some pictures on this site as you build.. It will be fun to watch your progress.

Welcome to the hobby!

Steve

Here is a pic of My CHANT Channel Tanker( AKA Target ), I have installed a servo motor and circuit as the drive motor geared down with one of the servo gears for about a 5:1 reduction, I have to make a prop and rudder for her still and more details, using a micro servo for the steering.

Sorry about the pic, should have read the pic thread first
