Welcome aboard, Alan! Have you any idea what club you will join, what ship you want to build, etc?

For some people a simple cruiser is best, two guns.
Other people can jump into a bigger ship, 3-4 guns.

Welcome to the hobby. Bob has been very helpful to me. I just started out last year and his help was appreciated. Also, if you would decide that MWC is what you would like to battle with then the Port Polar Bears do have build days during the winter. That might be helpful to give you an idea on what you would like to build.

My name is Kim and I am a local contact in the Model Warship Combat website. I live in Wisconsin Rapids.

Once again welcom and glad to have you.

Kim

Hmm a ship to start out with. Like said most start out with a cruiser but others have done well also with a small battleship or battle cruiser. Battleships like the USS Utah or Battle cruisers the size of the Invincables are easy to learn with and not as much maintence as others.
