R/C Naval Combat

Im set on a 1 unit pump, the extra help is too much to resist, so i will stay with 2.5 units. I am thinking 2 stern guns, and a .5 unit spurt gun. what do you guys think?

What ruleset? If it is IRCWCC, it would appear to fall under

d. Any authorized ½ battle unit may be used as either of the following:
1) A ½ unit pump, provided it is the only pump on the ship; or
2) A 1 ½ unit single shot cannon with a 75 BB magazine

Which would prohibit that... Marty, is that still valid?

Yea, IRCWCC. But yea, if i wanted, i could use a .5 unit pump and 3 guns or a 1 unit pump and 2.5 units of guns. I dont think that prohibits it, because i can use it due to this:

5. Except as provided in section 11.e, below, a ship may mount only a single one-half (½) unit cannon in its offensive armament, and a whole cannon unit shall not be divided into smaller (½ or ¼) unit cannons

I think we need a opinion from the IRC leadership on this, as I would interpret it to prohibit half unit cannons on any ship bigger than class 2. Damn contradictory rules.

Monk has a .5 unit bow gun, doesnt he? on his boston? Ill take a look back on the build thread and get back to you.

just got word back from the legend, the 1/2 unit cannon is not allowed in IRCWCC on this ship.

Edit: It seems there is some disagreement on the IRC list... bloody confusing rules...

I would think that a set up for the Graf Spee would be .5 unit pump and three stern cannons.
