This link is to the short video of the DKM Bismark sinking in 14' of water where she sat for a week roughly till she could be found and raised, We have the Ontario-Attack-Force (OAF) Search-And-Recovery (SAR) team to thank for getting her back. I will post more video of the fighting later, i have just learned how to make my first video with windows movie maker to compile this.

Camera is a Go-Pro-Hero waterproof(and BB proof) to 200' and light as a feather, I will add a photo here of the camera, it is small and was sitting on top of "C" turret when the boat went down. This camera has a 170 degree viewing angle and will record for 2 hours on a 2 meg SD card and 2-AAA batteries, It is normally used for RC car racing and can take video, still photos, time lapse pictures, a whole list.

I'm impressed this camera survived a week immersed in 14 feet of water.

WOW, now that is an impressive video. How did the combat footage turn out?

Is the Bis still in good order? Or has his extended stay on the bottom caused major harm? Let us know his condition, once he dries out a bit.
Still a proud member of the AUSBG!

Combat footage from the first battle would have been better but camera

was not mounted, so it is not most impressive but will get better, you can

see and hear Bismark shooting and also see her getting shot by Invincible.

You can see the double C turret shots walking along the side of USN Gearing

which causes her to sink later (all belows).  You can see SMS Hindenburg

who was fighting with Bismark and Both had some unloaded guns to even

up the sides, and there was a unarmed transport on the water also.

I will try and get some up soon.

Update:  The video is posted on u-tube, and there is also links on the videos

section of this board.  There are also copies on the OAF site.

Once the servos dry out i will give them a try, i cut open the ballon

for the reciever but it was bone dry so it is good to go, maybe some

shorts from the extensions. will check over the next week.

Some CLR on the extensions and on the top and bottom of the drive and pump motors where the shaft goes through.Rince the excess CLR and rince the motors with distilled water (it's better than tap water) it will help get rid of any crud from the lake. Should be good to go. CLR is wonderful stuff

Here is the link to the "Battle Video" it is shortened and resolution downgraded

a little to fit in the 100Mb max size limit but it works, watch it at full screen mode

for best effect.  Remember "D" turret was not loaded to help even up the sides,

but the C turret duals going into Gearing lead to her sinking later. (her recovery is on video)

Its on the OAF (Ontario-Attack-Force) Site.

Hope you all enjoy, I will get better at taping these and editing them i

am sure, forgive my simple efforts for now, and as for me, back to Bismark,

Adm Sheer, Nordmark and Scharnhorst, (I do have some work ahead of me)

mother.....
