To Create your own "User Folder":

  • Log in to the forum.

  • Goto the main (http://www.rcnavalcombat.com) page & click File Manager.

  • Under FileManager, you will see "User Files"

  • IMPORTANT: CLICK "USER FILES". (See screenshot)

  • Towards the bottom of the screen you will see "Actions:"

  • Under actions, you will see "Add New SubFolder in "User Files", click it. (IF you don't see it, you did not click on "User Files")

  • It will then ask for a new Folder Name, put in you Forum Username & click "Create Folder".

  • Pat yourself on the back, as you will never have to do that again! (Unless you want a subfolder, etc)

Example Screenshot:

TO upload photos / videos / files to your own "User Folder"

  • Under "User Files" you will see your new folder (should be named after you), click it.

  • Under "Actions" you will see "Upload New File to [YOUR FOLDER]"; click it.

  • Verify "Your name"

  • Write a description about the file you are about to upload.

  • IMPORTANT: If the file is an image, check "This File is an Image"

  • Click "browse"

  • On the window that pops up, select the desired file & click "open", the new popup window will close

  • Click Upload File

TO use your uploaded videos / files in a forum post:

  • Navigate to your "User Folder" & click on the desired file.

  • Copy the URL from the web browser's URL.

  • Paste the URL to your forum post

  • People will be able to click the URL & press the "Download file" button to view your file.

Anyone know what the max size video clip is that we can upload? I just tried 3x to upload a 37m clip and it didn't work.

Yea... 37minutes is a little extreme. I'd recommend uploading video to u-tube; they're video support is much better. On RCNC, videos would have to be downloaded before viewed.

Oh, that was 37MB, not 37 minutes. Think the clip is about 3-4 minutes long.
