I have thought about it. I have never made tooling before... I will have to talk with my machinist buddy who has made his own... and has the heat treat/temper equipment necessary to harden and temper the tool steel after plating. I am not that familiar with tool steels... I know he has worked with D2 and O2

Would this restricted pump outlet be more efficient next to the outlet of the pump, or after the hose near the deck?

location makes little difference from the perspective of the restrictor, solong as it has clean flow inbound...  however, the longer the tube the more loss in the tube leading to the restrictor.

 

as a side note, every restrictor using club I am aware of requires them to be where they can be measured, e.g. at the deck.
