well forward and revers is 1, left and right is one, then i believe each gun can be one not sure on that but veterans will let you know.

3 channels plus one for the pump for a total of 4 channels you need.  That said, if you get a nicer radio with 6 channels, it will work just fine...it's just not necessary.
