Just made the switch to Traxxas. Pricey, but I only have one boat right now.  The Male connector has contacts on the top and plastic on the bottom, so you cannot cross-connect. Lots of contact area for high current loads. They have a nice, solid feel to them -- when you plug male into female, you know they have good contact and are not going anywhere. LOTS of surface area with raised details to make unplugging a wet connector easy.

Treaty:
IJN Kirishima (Stricken)
FNS Volta (on hold)
FNS Alsace (under construction)
DKM Ludendorff [O-Class BC] (planned)

Battlestations:
FNS Mogador (Striken)
HMS Gustav V (Order placed)

Big Gun:
FNS Richelieu (Stricken)

duratrax / powerpole - not cheap but better than dean's.  Not really small - about the same size as tamya.  They stand up to years of battle well.
