I have a BC Yamato hull. The BC hull is very scale like. I actually sanded down the armor belt to make the hull easier to sheet. The BC hull is not slab sided. Years ago I had one of Ralphs Yamato hulls. Looking at pictures that I took of it, the BC hull has more contours and harsher angles.

The bulbous bow in the picture posted is DEFINITELY a different shape then the one from BC that I have seen.
