Does anyone know where I can get a Fiji hull?   I checked the SCRAP Hulls page ( www.scrapcombatships.com/hulls.html ) for a 1/144th scale fiberglass hull and while there used to be one listed by, I believe Ralph Coles and then by Steve Hill, it does not appear to still be available.  How can I get one of these?

MCW13, Steve Hill not only has the mold but he has a hull ready to go. He will sell it for $60 CDN. If you are nterrested you can message him directly or post here and I will get in touch with him. He can sometimes be hard to contact. Sorry for the delay in posting this, I forgot about it. I have an excellent memory but the information retrieval system is faulty.

That sounds like a good idea.  I sent him a private message on the system a month ago but I haven't received a reply yet.  Let's see, 60CDN is about 55USD currently so that's a good deal!  Please let me know how I can contact him directly.

You can make one take the waterline plate  and make sort of a box from it all you need is wood, glue, and a bandsaw

I talked to Steve last night, he says he hasn't received any e-mails, but he is pretty sure he has a different e-mail address hooked up to this forum. He still has the hull and is wiling to part with it.

OK, I will find out what happened. Believe it or not, he DOES want to sell the hull. I'll let you know,

A quick question for you, do you have any idea about motors, gears and props to get a Fiji to speed?

I'd probably take a look at using a single 550 with the BC 1 motor to 2 shaft gear box.

We thought about that too, but don't have a clue which pinion gear and props to use.
