Hi everyone

This is my first ship im building a south dakota for big gun im just wondering what size motors I will need and also what size props?

Also what will be some good rudders to use?

Also if there are any suggestions for servos, batteries, remotes etc it would be greatly appriciated.

Thanks

Hello there.
In my South Dakota BB that I have run for the last 4 yrs I have used 2 Johnson 6 volt motors useing a Battlers Connection gear box that has a 3 to 1 ratio. They turn 1 and 3/4 " props , 4 blade 25 degree pitch. This set up pushes my South Dakota right at 26 sec in 100 ft. Good pickup and stopping. For battery power I use 2- 6 volt 10 amp hr gell cell s for drive motors and a 1- 6 volt 7 amphr for pump.Hope that helps.
Buddy
