Sadly, my better half has also weighed in negatively on buying the hull. When she comes into the shop and starts inventorying the wood you have (verbally, as I watch her do it), you know negotiations aren't going well

Bob, email Brian K (MWCI webmaster) with a few pics, he'll post it in the For Sale section of the MWC site. A lot of people there aren't on this forum and you might get some bites.

You would need to build superstructure, build a main deck, install guns, seal all the wood, cut the windows. The hull kit is a hull, main and secondary turrets and plans.

So Bob,

Have you sold your Yama yet.

If not what might you be asking now?

Skippy

No, not next year. Actually I am wanting to have a "pretty" ship in my collection. Some time ago there was a superstructure for the Yamato available in resin and/or fiberglass. I don't know where it came from, or if they are still floating around out there. But if anyone knows what I am talking about, please give me an email to point me in the right direction!

BC used to make a fiberglass SS but the kit is in 'redesign', so no idea when they'll be producing it again.
