I guess we should make it clear--are these US dollars or Canadian dollars? I don't know if it makes much difference at present, but the Nelson and Vittorio Veneto prices seem low.

Also, can you get pictures of the VU with and without lip?

Sorry, ment to add that, Canadian Dollars.
I don' t know if he has a pic of the VU without the lip, I'll ask. If it is any help, I have seen the Indefatigable without the lip and the top is perfect, a sub deck or full deck will fit nicely.

They are tempting.

I've never thought about buying a Civil War vessel, but I really like the little Monitor. Do you have any pricing information on the ironclads?

I mentioned pricing those to Ralph yesterday, so the prices should be available soon.

That midget Japanese Submarine looks interesting. I finished reading a novel about them called FIRST SHOT. These Subs are fascinating to read about.

There are some interesting hulls available. Right now I am considering the Utah, a QE class or an Indefatigable. I am wondering which would have the best maneuverability.

Probably the Indefatigable. I've seen a homebrew New Zealand turn fairly well and my Invincible turns really well, and has excellent acceleration to boot. imho, Indefatigable is one of the better allied ships that can be built.

I would have to think the QE would be the most maneuverable.  That and she is a 5.5 unit ship under the MWC rules.  I have seen a QE turn real good.  Bob, up in Minneasota has one and he is deadly with it.  I am going to order one as soon as Raplh starts making them.

Hope this helps a little.

The Queen Elizabeth is probably slightly more maneuverable than Indefatigable which ought to have a slight edge over Utah, but they're all fairly close. Of the three, I don't think there's much doubt that QE is the most feared overall.

i do have a propensity for the class 4 boats. i have a VU and a South Carolina. I also have a Sodak that I have to finish. I find the class 4 to be the boats that nobody sees until it is too late and then it is BAM.

You are good with the 4's Paul, but I have to agree about the QE. If I was ever to get and Allied (ptwew) ship it would be a QE. ( Sorry, wrong thread)
I am going out of town till Sat, so if there are any questions, just get ahold of Ralph directly.
