| | 26 Apr 2009 05:35 PM | | Greetings all. Ralph asked me to pass on that he can make the following hulls in1/144; Iowa, Tirpitz, King George V, Nelson, Strasbourg, Utah, Indefatigable, Viribus Unitus, Vittorio Veneto, Queen Elizabeth class, and Yamato. Ralph is also willing to sell the molds should anyone be interrested, the prices vary depending on the mold. He also has the following in 1/24: Simon Lake submarine, 1125 Russian monitor, 1124 Russian monitor, Russian torpedo boat, and A generic English sloop (soon) if demand is there. As well he has the following in 1/72; Monitor, Merrimack, Tennessee, Passaic, Dictator, Santisima Trinidad, and Surcouf. Prices for the hulls will be posted soon, as will pictures as I get them sorted. This is just to let people know that ralph is willing to make hulls again this year. Ralph would like to know if anyone would like something done sooner than later, as he is only able to produce hulls in warm weather. Any questions can be posted here, sent to me or to Ralph himself via e-mail (message me and I will send it to you.) Thanks, Jay | | | "There it is again...kind of a BOOM sound" -short lived Allied lookout | |

| | 26 Apr 2009 08:35 PM | | I have some questions to clarify which ship is which (all 1/144)...
Tirpitz - is this truly the Tirpitz with its longer hull or the Bismarck?
King George V - is this the WW2 battleship or the WW1 dreadnought?
Strasbourg - is this the Dunkerque class battleship or the light cruiser?
Utah - is this the original Florida class or the modernized bulged hull?
Queen Elizabeth class - original or bulged hull?

| | 26 Apr 2009 08:47 PM | | Also, does Ralph still make the following 1/144 hulls or has he sold the molds? I've found at least one source that says he made these at some point:
Hood South Dakota Richelieu Surcouf Admiral Hipper Prinz Eugen

Bob Pottle makes the Hood hulls. Hope this helps. I own a Tirpitz and a KGV hull and both are exellent. | | | That which does not kill me, makes me stronger.

| | 27 Apr 2009 09:49 PM | | Here is the latest from Ralph;
It IS the Tirpitz. The Utah is the latest version and is bulged. The QE is the class but my version is the ww2 Barham /Malaya with the 6 casemates and the stern gallery.
The South Dakota is out of commission until it is sanded and it may not get completed at all.If I didn't list it,it is not available.
An Iowa is $140, KGV is $120 and a VU is $100.
He has a Strasbourg, 2 Indefatigables at the present. He will be able to make hulls in May.
Waiting for a price on the QE.

| | 28 Apr 2009 02:03 PM | | The QE's are $120. I am checking on the price of Strasbourg and availability of turrets for each hull. I have some pics, but am waiting to confer with Ralph as to exactly who is who. The one I know so far are;
KGV ( I think),
Stern shot of Utah (again I think) I will get the info from Ralph, we are having conflicting work schedules so far this week. More to follow, J | | | "There it is again...kind of a BOOM sound" -short lived Allied lookout
